Why can’t babies be born with a set of gleaming white gnashers? Or, in the case of my two, why do they need teeth when they seem perfectly happy with milk?
We’re had all the symptoms of teething for nearly two months now but no sign of any sodding teeth! Every day we poke hopefully around their gums praying to feel something anything that might indicate a tooth coming through, but there’s nothing.
We’ve had the endless dribble, the ‘interesting’ poo, the grumpiness, the glowing cheeks (dh calls them, politically incorrectly, ‘hot cheeks’ which sounds like a Rod Stewart song to me), the wailing, the biting and the gnawing on everything but absolutely nothing to show for it.
As the weaning is proving to be such a resounding success (by which I mean abject failure), they may as well be gummers!
