As the title suggests, G has started crawling. Backwards. I’m not surprised as most of her bulk is in her top half (bottom up) so those poor little legs don’t have much of a chance. Actually, I say that but now she’s on solids she is developing the thighs of an East German shot-putter. Make no mistake, our G is going to be a tall, well-built girl.

Now I know that backwards crawling is fairly normal(?) and is a good indication that we will soon have a little (forward-moving) commando on our hands. However, it reminded me of something that dh told me about polar bears. Apparently, they go a bit mad in confined spaces and start walking backwards, which explains why you don’t see adult polar bears in zoos any more.

By extension, does this mean that G is feeling confined by her surroundings?! More to the point, is she going to star in a Bond film as a Grace (we chose the right name then!) Jones style Amazonian hard-woman?! Crumbs. Dh and I aren’t exactly the biggest people in the world. We’re going to have our own bouncer!
