It’s so silly. I take the girls to work/nursery, look after them, feed them, change them, play with them, manage their tantrums and often put them to bed solo but until today I hadn’t bathed them without dh. I was just too scared to try and tackle bath time on my own. This meant that they got a bath once or twice a week. This wasn’t so bad when they were tiny, didn’t move much and just drank milk. However, now they are (extremely) active, eating about 5 extremely messy meals a day and the weather is warmer I’ve noticed that they (to put it politely) whiff a bit.
Over on POTOMS, they were discussing their bedtime/bath routines and I realised that R and G are the least bathed (and therefore smelliest) twins. I shamefacedly confessed my extreme skankiness and resolved to put things right.
So today after I got back from our late afternoon walk and before I gave them their bedtime bottle I gave them a good hose down. I sat one in the play nest while I bathed the other and they found the whole thing hilarious. It was such a success that I’m going to try and bath them at least every other day, regardless of whether dh is around to help or not.
