Our landlady has decided to take the house off the market and we’ve signed a contract for another year. Hurrah! This news was the cause of much celebration over the weekend – like I needed an excuse eh?!
I’m so pleased. Aside from anything else, I didn’t fancy the logistical challenge of moving the girls and all their stuff to top of the stress of finding somewhere new to live. Best of all, we won’t get random speculative house-buyers traipsing through our home on Saturday mornings, or turning up unannounced on Friday evenings and asking to see the house because they just happen to be in the area...
I’d hold a ceremonial burning of the ‘for sale’ sign to celebrate but I’d probably get arrested or condemned to a hell full of estate agents with ‘trendy’ hair and cheap suits, so I won’t.
